The Stephen Sprouse Book

The Stephen Sprouse Book

Inventive, enigmatic, and supremely creative, Stephen Sprouse (September 12, 1953 - March 4 2004) made art and clothing that captured the mood of the ‘80s and ‘90s. One of the first American designers to mix graffiti and a punk aesthetic with fashion, Sprouse challenged conventional notions of style. His unique sensibility still influences fashion, music, advertising, and popular culture today.

Roger Padilha and Mauricio Padilha have worked closely with Stephen Sprouse’s family and friends to create this exceptional monograph, which includes never-before-published images; sketches, photographs and other material from the Sprouse Archives; and interviews with his friends from the art, fashion, and music worlds.
